Although we already covered the Joker’s costume garments in order of chronological appearance in the movie, as with the ties, I’ll briefly mention the various hats the Joker wore throughout the film.
Jack Napier wore what appeared to be a black hat, similar to his later Joker hat (again, nice foreshadowing).
He briefly wore this hat with his smoking jacket:
There was also the black top hat he wore with his one-off “me and my mimes” costume ensemble.
After that, though, with the exception of the scene in the art gallery, he wore (or at least carried) his trademark purple hat for the remainder of his appearances in the movie.
We got to see some nice detail of the hat band during the parade sequence.
Also, when the Joker took off his hat in the cathedral sequence, he tossed it onto a gargoyle, where it was prominent in the frame for a while during his dance with Vicki Vale. (Because Tim Burton.)
An auction listing for the Joker’s trademark hat featured numerous, gorgeous photos.
These included a couple lovely photos of the hat interior, in which the “Golden Coach”/”Dobbs” label was visible.

The Joker’s other hat was the aforementioned “muffin hat” he wore during the scene in the art museum – a personal favorite of mine.
